Leonardo DiCaprio may try to go beyond the radar but the plan almost backfired. The “Catch Me If You Can” star was mistaken for a robber in a jewelry shop in Sydney, Australia when he went under the hood and tagged along two of his bulky bodyguards.

Per TMZ, The Family Jewels shop clerk named Linda panicked when two men walked into the store and then stood guard at the door. A man, wearing hoodie, cap and dark sunglasses, followed. Linda’s intuition said she was about to be robbed so she fetched a customer to go next door and call the store’s owner.

But the tension soon melted as the owner recognized the face. The American actor came with the intention to buy a Nepalese antique necklace set with lapis lazuli and coral, worth $1,600. But before he could purchase it, he had to leave the store because his car was blocking the traffic. He promised to come back and buy the piece.

Michael C. Hall could be the lead star in a Broadway adaptation of Tim Burton’s movie “Big Fish”. The “Dexter” star, according to Deadline, is negotiating with the musical stage production to replace first candidate, Hugh Jackman, next year.

John August who wrote the film’s screenplay based on the novel by Daniel Wallace, has written a book for the musical. Susan Stroman will direct, Andrew Lippa wrote the music, and Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks are producing. Deadline reported, “It is expected to be quite the stage event.”

If a deal is struck, Hall will play Edward Bloom, the man who filled his son’s head with so many unbelievable adventures that occurred during the course of his life. In the movie, both Ewan McGregor and Albert Finney played the role. The part was originally given to Jackman but his movie schedule prevented him from a commitment.

Hall himself has been involved with a number of musicals such as “Cabaret” and “Chicago”.

Another single from Scotty McCreery has been made available for listening pleasure. Hours after the season 10 winner of “American Idol” announced that “The Trouble With Girls” will make its radio debut on Tuesday (August 30) morning, audio stream of the new tune popped out online.

Kicking off the song, the North Carolina native sings about trying to figure out girls. Singing over a delicate piano play, he croons, “The trouble with girls is they’re a mystery / Something about them puzzles me / Spent my whole life trying to figure out / Just what them girls are all about.”

In the chorus, the 17-year-old belts out, “They smile that smile / They bat those eyes / They steal you with hello / They kill you with goodbye / They hook you with one touch / And you can’t break free / Yeah the trouble with girls / Is nobody loves trouble as much as me.”

“The Trouble With Girls” is the second single off Scotty’s debut album “Clear as Day” that will be made available for purchase in the United States on October 4. Written by veteran Nashville songwriters Chris Tompkins and Philip White, it comes on the heels of his debut single “I Love You This Big”.

A new creepy trailer from “Apollo 18” has been made available for viewing pleasure, just a few days before the film hits U.S. theaters. The video presents some goose-bumping scenes that include what looks like paranormal activities surrounding the lunar landing of the spacecraft.

Officially, Apollo 17 that was launched December 17, 1972 was the last manned mission to the moon. But in the movie it is told that a year later two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the U.S. Department of Defense.

Using some actual archival footage, “Apollo 18″ presents what happens with the two astronauts during their mission. Although NASA denied the authenticity of the footage, the fiction film will reveal the reason why the U.S. stopped their mission to send a man to the moon.

Rated PG-13, the horror film is directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego with Brian Miller and Cory Goodman providing the screenplay. Lloyd Owen and Warren Christie are lining up in the cast ensemble. The movie is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on Friday, September 2.

Angelina Jolie Talks Kids, Marriage and Directorial Debut

For the umpteenth time, Angelina Jolie has to address the rumors that she is going to tie the knot to long-time partner Brad Pitt and have another child with him. The actress clarified in the latest issue of Vanity Fair that she is not pregnant, not planning to adopt and not having a “secret wedding” in her agenda.

Brad and Angelina are already raising six young children, three of whom are adopted. She found the time to write her first movie, “In the Land of Blood and Honey”, only when she was separated from the kids due to flu. “I had to be quarantined from the children for two days,” Angelina recalled. “I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing. I don’t watch TV and I wasn’t reading anything. So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn’t know any other way.”

Brad was pulling double duties at this point, being her lover and the critic of her work. “He’d come in and say what he liked or what he didn’t understand. Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things,” Angelina said. “It’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge.” But in the end he called and told her, “You know, honey, it’s not that bad.”

On being a first-time director, Angelina said, “I’ve never felt more exposed. My whole career, I’ve hidden behind other people’s words. Now it’s me talking. You feel ridiculous when you get something wrong.” This in fact has something to do with her position as an actress. “Brad thinks I’m going to be a nightmare,” she joked. “I had such a good experience he thinks I’m going to be impatient with directors, which I already am. I get impatient with people working on a film that have their head in their hands like it’s the most complicated thing in the world.”
